Theatre

Theater production on a stage with animal costumes with a orange background

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful." Colossians 3:14-15

At WCS, we believe theatre is about far more than putting on a show, it is an opportunity for students to grow in confidence, creativity, teamwork, and leadership.

Our Junior High Theatre elective, available to students in grades 6th-8th, produces a fall and spring production each year, with plans to add a competitive theatre component in the near future. As interest continues to grow, we also hope to expand into a High School Theatre elective with participation in One-Act competition.

Our annual Spring Musical Theatre production is open to students in Pre-K through 12th grade and offers opportunities both on stage and behind the scenes through acting, technical theatre, stage management, costumes, lighting, sound, and set design, ensuring every student has a place to discover and develop their talents.

Every role, whether center stage or behind the scenes, teaches that each person has been intentionally created with talents that matter. When we nurture those God- given gifts, we are not simply preparing students for a performance; we are equipping them to serve others, glorify God, and become the people he created them to be.  - Mrs. Tara Woody, Theatre Director
