Parent Involvement

We are so thankful for our teachers and staff!

At Weatherford Christian School, we believe a thriving school community is built on a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and staff.

Our Parent Teacher Partnership (PTP) is one of the hardest working groups on campus providing opportunities throughout the year to show how much the teachers and staff are appreciated. Also, they organize some of our most beloved traditions including -- Trunk or Treat, Daddy Daughter Dance, Nerf Wars with Moms, and their fun Color Run Fundraiser at the end of school.

Our PTP helps to build community and strengthen family bonds with our parents. Please consider joining the amazing PTP group and get plugged in!

Imagine what God will do with an entire generation of prayed-for children?

Come join together for an hour weekly in God’s name to pray specifically for our children and school.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• We stay focused on prayer and always begin and end on time.

• Our prayer format is biblical and begins with an attribute of God.

• We pray our children’s names in scripture so we know we are praying God’s will.

• We keep what we pray about confidential.

WHERE WE MEET:

• Wednesday, September 2nd after drop off in classroom off of gym foyer-- meet and greet to learn more about MIP and other moms who want to pray together
• Wednesday, September 9th after drop off in classroom off of gym foyer-- first regular gathering for MIP

We are moms who accept you wherever you are in your Christian prayer life, even if you’ve never had one. It’s a safe place. It’s a learning place where we grow and care for one another. God is there with us, teaching us how to pray openly and honestly to Him for our children and schools.

Moms in Prayer is a safe place where friendships are formed and strengthened. It is such a blessing and honor to be able to pray for each other and our teachers and school needs.

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

LION PATROL is a Weatherford Christian School initiative for better family and community engagement where dedicated fathers and grandfathers make the commitment to serve by maintaining a visual presence during school hours Monday through Friday.

Not only will these volunteers provide a visual presence, giving WCS an extra set of eyes and ears enhancing school security, but they also provide a positive male role models for the students.

LION PATROL is a PreK through 12th grade program, inviting fathers or grandfathers to volunteer at least one day, all day during the school year. They will perform a variety of tasks on Lion Patrol, including monitoring WCS’s main entrance beginning at 7:45 am, patrolling school grounds, maintaining a presence in our hallways, and helping to monitor the student pickup line and school parking lots at the conclusion of the school day.

Volunteers on LION PATROL are encouraged to have lunch with their child (lunch will be provided at no cost), and any other assigned activities where they actively engage not only with their own students, but other students as well.

All volunteers will undergo a background check. If you are interested in serving with this unique ministry at WCS, please complete the form below.
